The Haute’s Garonne’s Departmental Council has organized the yearly festival « 31 Notes d’été » for 14 years. Composed of 34 free music, dance, musical theatre, circus and movie concert performances, it emphasizes 34 towns of the department. Pre-performance events allow the festival-goers to discover the Haute-Garonne’s heritage : guided and animated tours, sporty discovery trails, theme hikes, tasting tours etc. This year, the festival will take place from the 6th July until the 19th August.
In order to promote the website, the Haute-Garonne’s Department Council has implemented a website that gathers all the useful information: program, adjacent events and downloadable documents. In order to facilitate the access to the various events and give a general overview of the festival, an interactive map of the Haute-Garonne’s area was integrated to the website by the staff of the Department Council thanks to the AIGLE™ API, edited by Business Geografic. This map enables the easy and fast cartographic representation of most of the data, whatever the source format is.
Thanks to AIGLE, the Haute-Garonne’s Department Council kept a full control over the data and base maps used in the department’s GIS. The complete documentation has enabled the Council’s staff to have a perfect control of AIGLE™‘s API in a fully autonomous way. Nowadays, thanks to its new API, AIGLE enables its users to gain flexibility and reactivity when integrating interactive maps to a webpage’s content. The Haute-Garonne’s Department Council already thinks about a lot of similar projects and wishes to implement other applications that could deal with much larger and much more complex data.
